- The best bargain. Well, you do get what you pay for. But the question is what additional features you want on the DVD burner. Lightscribe, etc are cool features, but they cost. I would ensure that I get a DVD burner that can handle + or - media. Yes, there is a huge difference in media costs also. LG and Samsung makes some good burners all for under $100 See below
- Lite-ON 16x DVDR drive supporting the following formats/speeds: DVD+R 16X DVD+RW 8X DVD-R 16X DVD-RW 6X CD-R 48X CD-RW 24X DVD+R DL 8X (dual layer) DVD-R DL 4X (dual layer) DVD-Rom 16X CD-Rom 48X And it's only $40 from Newegg, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827106013
- hi i think u should opt for SONY DVD burner. because they are best in market. and since the retail pack of sony dvd burner are costly, u should opt for OEM pack DVD burner. i oem pack u get same company burner with same warranty for very less cost. Opt for sony DWQ-28A,DWQ-30A,DWQ-120A
- it all is what you want do you want double layer, light scribe, or just a cheap one , it all depends on what you intend to do with it when you know what you want check prices at www.pricewatch.com
- Do your homework... research, research, research... Look on Ebay. I'd only buy new though. I got a Sony drive on Ebay for about $40 including shipping.
